"Kool & Elfring is a privately owned company, located 45 km north of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Kool & Elfring was founded in 2007 by aeronautical engineer Floris Elfring and electronic engineer Aryjan Kool.
The company started as a specialized manufacturer of high quality guitar speaker cabinets. Due to sophisticated design and a 'no compromise on quality'-attitude K&E has gained an excellent reputation in this field. To maintain the highest possible quality we do not outsource our production, all Kool & Elfring products are designed and handmade in our own custom shop. We are constantly searching for ways to improve our quality and production process. For example at the end of 2010 we acquired a brand new gluing installation to improve the 'tolexing' process and in 2011 we have started development of a CNC router system specially designed for routing our cabinets.
In 2011 Kool & Elfring successfully launched the first 'high end' tube amplifier called the 'BLACK ROSE' which got
A-ratings in 'GITARIST' and 'Gitaar Plus' magazine. Currently the crew is working on a new all tube amplifier that is expected to be launched in 2012."

A new take on a classic design.
The Starplayer Special is a reproduction of the very first Duesenberg '92 prototype guitars. The neck heel is set in traditionally, but bolt-on with two strong power proof threaded machine screws. This junction combines "both worlds" of guitar construction while keeping the end of the neck covered by the body side as it ought to be realized in proper guitar building and design. Moreover that this new design creates a combination of overtones, sustain and attack not achieved by guitars of the past.

Bill Wyman always played short scale bass guitars because of his small hands, and this Vox model is his most recognisable instrument. The Japanese-made reissue is a work of art: Carved maple top and veneer with Hollowed mahogany back and side with flame maple binding, VOX custom designed stoptail and bridge with bridge cover and VOX custom designed single bass pickups with with white cover.
